Ahh, relaxation. That's just what the doctor ordered. :)
When I found out I was pregnant, I immediately planned on taking a "babymoon" with Jeff. Basically, a weekend getaway just the two of us before the baby comes.
I worked it out with my family for a weekend in October. They were happy to oblige!
We dropped the girls off on Friday morning at my parent's house. They were in good hands! We took off on an hour and a half drive to the Washington Coast to the city of Westport where we stayed at the condo my parents rent out.
It was a sunny weekend, pretty views of the waves and water and not a lot of tourists because it is the off-season. It was perfect.
The condo is nice and comfy. Lots of big pillows and blankets and the minute you walk in, you just relax into a puddle of "I'm doing nothing today." :)
When we finally had the willpower to leave the condo (hungry tummies helped)...we got some great food to eat. We enjoyed walking the marina and went to a cute gift shop.
We walked along the beach hand in hand and smelled the fresh air.

There were a few people on the beach, but mostly we were alone and it was wonderful.
We spent a lot of time watching football. And planning our workshop for Youth Conference. (that'll be a separate post!) We enjoyed the view from the window overlooking the ocean.
The next day I went out with my camera and took some scenic pictures for fun while playing with the settings...
Meanwhile, the girls were having a blast with Grandma, Grandpa, Claire, Jeff & Kate at Lattin's Farm. We got lots of funny pictures and videos of these two playing there! A fun Fall activity. Brielle got to enjoy her goat obsession:
And then it was time to get back to reality. We headed back on Sunday afternoon for church and then got the girls and went back to our place. It was such a fun, relaxing weekend! Special thanks to my parents for watching the girls and letting us use the condo!
