I saw this on the internet a while ago, and it made me laugh. So I'm going to copy the idea and apply it to our 15 month old - Brielle.
Brielle's Letter To Santa
Dear Santa-
My parents are giving me the typical baby toys for Christmas. While these are fun and all, there are a few things that I REALLY want for Christmas. Please give me the following items:
1. A Door Stopper
I like to play with the door stoppers in our condo. Whenever I pass by it, I like to flick it and hear it go "boooiiiing" really loud. I especially like to do this when my sister, Rosalyn is sleeping. She doesn't like that loud noise and always wakes up, but that doesn't bother me! I want my very own door stopper!
2. Flip the flap books
I love these books where you can flip up the flap on each page and see what's underneath. But I don't like them for that reason, I like them because they are so fun to tear apart. I like to tear off each flap so the books are useless and ruined. That's so fun! I especially like to do this when Mommy isn't looking. Here I am with all the flaps I pulled off when I was "taking a nap"...hee hee, I fooled Mommy!
3. An Iphone
I know, I know, people will say I'm too young to have a phone. But I REALLY want one! I don't know why I want it so bad...I guess I just see that my mommy and daddy like theirs so much, they are always looking at it. When I do get Mommy's, I like to bite it and break her cover. It's great! But I'd rather have my own please.
4. Electrical Outlets
No explanation needed. I try so hard to pry the covers off the "baby proofed" electrical outlets. Someday I'll get it off!! Until then, please give me an outlet. It seems too great to be covered up!
5. Open Cupboards
Please, pretty please open up all the cupboards in our condo! My parents have selfishly locked them all up. But don't worry, I've found the few that aren't locked and love to open those. Just for one day, unlock them all! I can have so much fun!
6. Keys
I know this is cliche, but I really want keys for Christmas. They are so fun to put in my mouth. I love the dirty, metal taste and I make Mommy pry them away from me and I scream if she wants them. So I need my own please.
7. Jewelry
That's right. Doesn't every girl want jewelry for Christmas? Well I sure do! I love to wear my Mommy's necklaces, and if she is wearing earrings I try to take them off her. And I've broken most of Mommy's jewelry now, so she's out and I need my own.
8. Coasters
I know, weird present to ask for, right? But I discovered I love them! We went somewhere and I played with the coasters all day long. They are so fun to stack, bite, throw, bang on things and hide. What a versatile toy!
9. I want whatever Rosalyn has
I'm starting to realize that having Rosalyn around means she's going to use my things. I don't know what the word "share" means. But I love to give her my goldfish crackers and stuff them in her mouth. Isn't that sharing? I need Rosalyn's things, like the Bumbo seat. Here, look at this movie and you'll see why I want it for Christmas.
Thanks Santa!! You're the BEST.
Love,
Brielle
