Gender Surprise!

WE'RE HAVING A GIRL!!

We are thrilled. Of course we would be thrilled if it were a boy...this is just one of those things you get to be excited about, no matter what! Jeff accompanied me to my ultrasound and we had a great time watching the baby on the screen move around. It was pretty surreal to tell you the truth.  It was about a 45 minute ultrasound...the technician took pictures and measured every single part of this baby's body. To be honest, I couldn't tell you much about what we were looking at...it all looked like black/gray blobs to me. It was amazing how much she could tell us about our baby! She even showed us her 4 heart chambers. How crazy is that?  So far, so good! Everything is developing just as it should. Towards the end of the ultrasound she finally looked and told us the baby is a girl. I was in great anticipation. :)

They even gave us a DVD of all the ultrasound pictures and movie of her moving. We haven't watched it yet, does that make us bad parents? Well, you'd better believe those pictures will be on her wedding video someday! Ha ha...totally kidding. :)

I had a doctor's appointment directly after and everything is going well for me. 5 months along and going strong! I still can't believe it.

I'm excited to start stock piling all those cute bows and ruffle-bottom tights. You know, like these:

I think these are absolutely darling on little baby girls and I warned Jeff that even if we had a boy I'd have to put the baby in some just one time at home. ha ha! Thank goodness it's a girl! Poor Jeff, pink is going to take over our apartment very shortly. :)
