Shortly after returning from Christmas vacation, Jeff came home from work and announced that he was ready for a job change. He had been working at TWG Insurance as an insurance broker for 2 years. Overall it was a good experience for him, with its usual ups and downs. He learned everything there is to know about home & auto insurance which will be helpful for the rest of our lives. He excelled at the job, but I feel like it didn't fully utilize his many talents.
I have been trying to get him to switch over to the financial world for a while now....this is what he is truly passionate about. He started looking for another job. Fidelity Investments seemed like a perfect fit. Instead of looking at stocks on his I-phone all day while working insurance, he can look at stocks AND get paid for it! What could be better? :)
He made it past all the rounds of interviews and passed with flying colors. (in my humble opinion!) ha. He quit his job at TWG last week, and will begin his new job at Fidelity Investments on March 28th. He will study for and receive his financial licenses during the 6 month training period and then they will evaluate where he should go within the company from there.
What will he be doing these 2 weeks of no work? I hope he'll sleep in, play video games and relax...he deserves it!
