post update

This post is going to be as random as the last one....but at least this time I found pictures to break it up. :)
Here's the latest happenings:

* THREE YEAR ANNIVERSARY! WOOT WOOT!
Our anniversary was on Tuesday, January 18th. We celebrated the Saturday before by going to dinner at The Olive Garden and then to a musical called The Drowsy Chaperone in Dallas at a nice theater. Have you heard of that show? It is a newer musical....I saw the information about it when it opened in London, and have wanted to see it ever since. It was great, pretty clean and just wonderfully acted and sung. It was great to see a really good show.

Tuesday night Jeff wanted to go to a financial seminar that a guy he knows from work was hosting...it was interesting and a yummy free dinner. Then Jeff went to go play basketball with his buddies....at least he bought me flowers the next day after giving him a few hints. hee hee.

We can't believe we've been married for 3 years already...time has flown by! It seems like it wasn't that long ago when we were saying "I Do!" How lucky I am to have found this hunky man!

* PHOTO BOOK
Every year in January I order a photo book of the previous year. It has been a wonderful tradition so far... it is so fun to look through the pictures and remember all the fun things we did in a year! It is great to look back on the year and see all the neat things that happen.

*HOME PROJECT
We painted one of the rooms in our house....I couldn't believe how much work painting is! Definitely more than I planned on. It was a fun project for Jeff and I to work on together. I really like the color...it is a blue/gray color and I think it looks great! I am excited to complete that room...I'm going to make it the office. Pictures to come when it's finished!

* RACHEL RAY'S COOKBOOK
Jeff got me this cookbook for Christmas. We've tried a few of the recipes so far...and mmmmm they are delicious! They are quite gourmet though, I've bought ingredients I never even knew existed. :) And the recipes take forever to make. But they are yummy!

* HOSTING EMPTY-NESTER HOME EVENING
Last Monday night we hosted the empty-nester home evening at our place. We had 11 people there! It was great! Jeff gave the spiritual thought, I ran the game - LDS pictionary. It was hilarious and fun, and we had a great time with these nice people in our home.
