Picture journal

Yesterday Jeff and I and another couple went to an airshow in the boonies of Texas. We spent the entire day with them and drove about 170 miles....after all our activities. After the airshow we went to the temple, and went out to eat and went by our new house. It was fun!

They had lots of old planes that were flying around doing tricks. It was pretty incredible and a little scary all at the same time. I never knew that all of these airplane maneuvers were possible! It was pretty crazy to watch....and I was glad I wasn't up there with them!
We saw this little helicopter and I immediately thought of the TV show: 24. Jeff and I are a little addicted to that show at the moment, and are re-watching season 6. Jack Bauer flies around in a helicopter quite often in that show to save the world from terrorists. :)

Below is a vintage hummer. I actually really like hummers. I always have. Weird huh? I always point them out when Jeff and I are driving, and he laughs at me. Most people point out sports cars. I think it would be super cool to drive a tank around town. You know how safe you would feel?

These little airplanes were doing all sorts of flips and spins and stalls up in the sky. I was in awe at the bravery/stupidity of it all. :)

Last Monday night we got tickets from a friend to go to a Rangers game! Yea, my first time! Jeff's gone a couple times already. It was fun....it has been a long time since I've seen a baseball game....and didn't realize how long 9 innings is. Whew! I kept asking Jeff when the half-time show would be. Ha ha.
These pictures are of a Tech Workshop I just had at the theater. As part of the education program, we are holding all sorts of camps and workshops this summer that I am ultimately in charge of. It was a lot of fun....the kids learned all about the technical aspects of theater and then were given time to put a quick scene together with music, lights, props, scripts, etc. We had 26 kids there, it was a success and I'm looking forward to more.

Tomorrow starts our next camp which is Les Miserables. There are 76 students that will be learning the show these next 2 weeks, and they'll perform it in our theater 2 weeks after that. It is going to be intense! Lucky for me I get to just sit and watch the director on this one. :)
