We spent Easter weekend with my family in Olympia. We drove down Saturday night and I was able to attend the Women's Conference broadcast with my Mom and Claire. (and my Dad since he is in the stake presidency!) It was a nice night.
Sunday morning we went to church together in our Easter finest.
I surprised my parents by putting Adeline in my special dress that I wore as a baby. They were so happy to see her in it! My Mom gave it to me a few months back and I kept it for a special Sunday. It was perfect!
Adeline was so tired, she fell asleep sitting up! I feel the same way, little baby.
After church we had an egg hunt in the back yard.
These two wouldn't stop running for a picture. They are very active and bounce their energy off each other! There's always lots of movement and happy noise with them around.
Adeline on the other hand is as sweet and calm as can be. She tells me all the time "I can wait...go take care of the other two and then come back to me." What a perfect little angel.
I love snuggling her! My sweetheart.
My parents were hosting a Japanese exchange student for a short time. It gave my Dad and brother a chance to practice their japanese again! Her name is Yumi. They had fun showing her everything about the way we live. Including Easter traditions!
Of course, my Mom prepared a yummy Easter FEAST. She's never one to disappoint!
A picture of all of us for Yumi to take home.
We drove back home after a fun time at the Bates' house!
On Monday night I had my Passover dinner. Yes, it was supposed to be on Friday night, but oh well. The girls don't know any different! :) We set up on the kitchen floor. This year I added lanterns and lights the girls could play with while I got everything ready.
We had our usual passover dinner on the ground and then it was time to make the "Empty tomb rolls."
The girls loved this! They were much more into making these rolls this year than last year. Jeff and I were busy making sure the mess didn't get messier. :)
And then it was time to eat them! They didn't last long.
Easter is my favorite holiday. I love Christmas, but Easter is so Springy and joyful and there's just this sunshiny feeling on Easter Sunday as we talk about our Savior and the resurrection. What a wonderful weekend celebrating such a wonderful event.
