January

The month of January was spent in expectation of baby #3's arrival.  We thought maybe she would come early since the other two did, but I was hoping for a February birthday since my birthday is in February. :)
Jeff worked a lot this month...lots of long hours to prepare for impending paternity leave.  It was a long month being big and pregnant and taking care of two active toddlers.  It was hard to leave the house much since I wasn't able to chase after them and it was just easier to entertain at home.  We had lots of play dates with friends coming over instead, and video chatting with my Mom who would do story time and puppet shows for them.

Brielle loves to ride her tricycle around our little patio area.  She pretends to go places like Grandma's house or to the store.
Thank goodness for a big backyard to play in!

The girls love to spend their days playing dress-up and making food in their pretend kitchen.

After working almost daily for 2 months, the inside and outside work was completed to help protect the house from flooding again. The big trenches were filled in with pipes and gravel.  They still have to come back and put in a drain which will require concrete work on our patio.

Brielle got to join Sunbeams in primary starting in January! She loves it and comes home singing all the songs.  I would love to be a fly on the wall and see how she does sitting in a chair for that long....
here she is when she went to Primary at my parent's ward when I had the baby. This picture cracks me up...she's facing backwards, has a shoe in her hand and is chewing on her tights:

Jeff and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary in January! We had our last formal date for a while.  We went to Cheesecake Factory and stuffed ourselves on yummy food.  What a joy it is to be married to Jeff! It's been a great 8 years.

We prepared the girls for the baby's arrival by watching Daniel Tiger - season 2 on Netflix.  He has a baby sister born and it is great preparation for my girls to watch! They love that show.
We have two little mommies in training over here!
We got the car seat all washed up and the girls liked putting their baby dolls in it.
We got most of the things done on my to do list to prepare for the baby...and then it was just waiting! Tom Petty had it right: "The waiting is the hardest part."
