We had a wonderful month of May! Here are some things that happened:
We went down to Portland for my cousin Stacey's wedding. It was so beautiful, and so joyful. What a wonderful celebration. Here's the pretty bride:

Brielle crashed at the reception. So much action going on all day! Good thing Grandpa is always ready to hold a sleeping baby....

It was a fun weekend spent with family. We also celebrated my brother Mike's 18th birthday (how can he be that old?!), as well as my first Mother's Day as a real-life Mom. It was a sweet day for me. I enjoy being a Mother to this cute little girl. She makes me laugh all the time, and she can't even talk yet!
Later on in the month we celebrated my brother Jeff's birthday with a surprise party thrown by his cute wife, Kate. The boys distracted him by taking him out to see Star Trek in 3-D:
We all met at their apartment....it was so fun and festive! There's nothing like a surprise party...so fun! We were anxiously awaiting their arrival home from the movie. Kate entertained us:

He was truly surprised. He had no idea. I love it!!
Kate got him a new grill to BBQ. Yum! I hope we have lots of family BBQ's in our future.... :)
Brielle had fun meeting all sorts of new people. She sure loves other children!
We pooped her out this weekend too! Again, Grandpa's ready to help her take a nap. I love her legs crossed on his knee:
We went to the Seattle Folk Life Music Festival on Memorial Day. It happened to be a rainy day all day! But that didn't stop us from having fun! We got out our huge umbrella and listened to all sorts of bands all day. It was really fun. They have every type of folk-sy band you can think of performing all over the Seattle Center. We walked all over inside and out to hear some great musicians. Brielle loved the music and was a great sport!

Brielle is 8 months old. She's moving around all over the place. I'm not sure how she gets from one spot to the other, but I turn around and she's moved. She's not formally crawling on her knees, but don't worry...she's getting around! She's been wanting to walk and move since she was born...finally her body is catching up with her mind! :)
When she's not crawling or pulling herself up on things, she's perched on daddy's head. This is her favorite place to be.
I found two items on Craigslist recently for her. I got her this jumper. She loves it as long as we are paying attention to her while she's in it. I thought it might be a good toy to put her in so I could get things done while she's playing. Not really - she's already figured out how to communicate "mommy, look at me!" So I happily watch her jump and play while neglecting doing dishes or cleaning. :) After church one Sunday, a sleeping spell was cast at our place.....
My other Craigslist find.....a crib! Hurray! She's been in a bassinet all this time. We just didn't have room for a crib at our old place. Now she's wild and free in her cute, big crib.
Our big news this month....we found out we are having another GIRL!! Jeff and I are thrilled. Jeff told me before the ultrasound that he hoped it was a girl, so that made me happy I could come through. :) I always try to make him happy. hee hee.

Despite a rainy Memorial Day, we've had tons of sunshine. It's been so warm and sunny and perfect! I love getting outside and enjoying the beautiful scenery and weather with baby B. We've been going on walks nearly every day and checking out all the parks here. Homes in our area do not have big back yards, so there are tons and tons of parks all over. Fun for us to explore!

We are having a great time here in WA! What a gorgeous place to be at this gorgeous time of the year.
