We enjoyed our 1st Bates Family Reunion at a beautiful summer beach house in Seabrook, WA, along the coast. We had such a great time! Our weekend consisted of playing lots of games, watching the Olympics, enjoying the beach, eating, eating, eating, talking, laughing, sleeping....and repeat.
It was a really cute house, we all loved it. Us girls secretly counted how many times my Dad and husband Jeff would bring up the idea of buying one for an investment. I think our count got to 30 times before we stopped counting. :)

We drove our cars on the beach....apparently everyone does it in WA. Word for the wise, you shouldn't do it unless you have 4 wheel drive or you'll get stuck. Good thing we had plenty of manly muscles to push around! Funny memory that I don't think any of us will forget.
As you can tell from what we're wearing....the beach was cold that day. But we still enjoyed it! Kate led us in some yoga, we collected sea shells, froze in the water, flew kites and ended with piggy-back rides. Aren't Marie & Mike cute?
Kate is a muscle-woman from all that yoga. :)
They rented bikes and leisurely rode around enjoying Seabrook and all the cute beach homes. Claire kept me company...my doctor said I can't ride a bike, so...ok. We had fun playing games and making a project for the Humanitarian Center.
Our trip was short and sweet, and well-enjoyed by all! Thanks Mom & Pop Bates for the trip!
