Update

We made it! We are officially living in beautiful Washington. It was a wild move, but we are here and making our new life great as can be. Here's an update on all the things I'm sure you are wondering about:

LEAVING TEXAS
It was really hard to leave and say goodbye to so many wonderful people we have met during our 3 years living in Bedford. I was also sad to leave my home. You can see the listing HERE. Anyone wanna buy? :) We just heard from our Realtor that we've had 20 showings in 23 days on the market...any day now we're hoping it will sell!

NEWCASTLE, WASHINGTON
I came out a week early and found an apartment for us while Jeff drove his car across the country. We've settled into a one-bedroom apartment in Newcastle. It is 10 minutes away from the temple in Seattle, and just a freeway drive away from Seattle. We are about 1.5 hours away from my family in Olympia, depending on traffic. We love the area so far, it is right against Cougar Mountain, and it is just gorgeous. I'm adjusting to downsizing to a one-bedroom...it made the most economical sense in the area and even though we're squished, we only signed an 8-month lease. We put the rest of our stuff in storage.

JEFF'S JOB
Jeff is loving working downtown. He wears a suit to work every day (hubba hubba!) and rides a bus into town. We have an Express bus that takes him downtown and he catches it just outside our apartment. It couldn't be any easier. The bus ride is about 40 minutes and he passes the time on his I-phone. He likes the office, his co-workers, commute and job duties....so it's working out great.

BABY
I'm starting to feel a little better after battling with morning sickness the past 3 months. I found a hospital and doctor in the area and I'll be going in for regular appointments. So far, so good! I'm due in September, and I'll be hunting for maternity clothes in the near future. :) I still can't believe this is happening, after all of the infertility treatments and adoption paperwork...it is still such a shock to me that I'm pregnant! What a wonderful surprise.
