Tolsma summer hotel

We had a fun 2 and a half weeks with my siblings here in Texas! Jeff & Claire came first. Jeff stayed for a week and then Michael flew in and stayed for a week. Claire was here the whole time. Michael and Claire participated in one of the summer camps I taught. It was awesome having them here! I can't wait for the next time we do it again!
Here are a few things we did with them:

Of course, we took Jeff to the stockyards.... and we saw a wild west rodeo show. We also took him around Dallas. Here are the two Jeff's.....boy THAT was confusing. They never knew which one I was talking to. :)

Jeff & Claire at a free outdoor concert. We love these. They have these all the time all over the area and they are fun.

I took Claire to the American Girl store. Anyone else out there love American Girls growing up? I read the books...never had a doll, but loved them. I think I enjoyed the store more than Claire, I was just waiting for an excuse to go there.

We ate some good Texas BBQ.... yum yum...with an extra helping of Mac n' cheese. :)

We went to a fun zone and played putt putt golf and won a lot of tickets at the arcades.

We went swimming! It was sooooo HOT. It is still sooooo HOT. It has been 100+ the whole month. We didn't even want to go swimming because it was so hot outside. One day it was slightly cooler and we ventured to the pool. Doesn't that sound weird? By cooler, I mean 95 degrees. :)

What else did we do? I took Claire to Sam Moon (girl's fashion paradise), Michael and Jeff went to an Aerosmith concert, Claire & I saw Steel Magnolias at my theater, we went to a food festival, we saw some movies, we played games*, cooked food together, went to church activities & goofed around.

* My moment of glory: We played a game of Settlers of Cataan. The first game Claire beat Mike & Jeff. The second game I beat Mike & Jeff. Amazing! The boys will never live that down. :)

It was so fun to have Claire, Michael & Jeff here! I was so sad when they left...our house is so quiet now. :) I hope they come back soon!
