Grandma Tolsma came to visit us for Memorial day weekend. We loved it! She was truly delightful to be with, and we are missing her! Come back!
Jeff picked her up at the airport and they stayed in Dallas to sight-see. They went and saw the LDS temple...I love this picture. Can you find Grandma? hee. I think she looks so cute sitting there.
They also went to the JFK sixth floor museum. There should be no question in anyone's mind that this is where we will take you if you come to visit. I think most everyone has seen this museum now... :) But we still enjoy it.
We then went to see Oklahoma playing at the theater where I work. Fun show..we sang the songs all weekend long.
On Memorial Day we went to a veteran cemetery nearby and enjoyed the patriotic ceremony. There was a rifle salute, bagpipe player, lots of patriotic music and lots of sun. We all got a little pink that morning. It was worth it though, and a wonderful way to start the day remembering on Memorial Day.
We then took her to the Gaylord Hotel in Grapevine. The theme was Alice In Wonderland...the statue behind them is made entirely out of sand. It was fun to walk around and see everything there.
We finished off the day at a free outdoor concert by the Dallas Symphony. Beautiful, patriotic music...so fun. There were soooo many people there....they announced 10,000....we got great seats up front!
