On Saturday Jeff and I went to the Irish Festival in Dallas. It was so fun! We didn't wear green like everyone else did...but Jeff's red hair made us blend in. :) I have never seen so many redheads all in one place! We enjoyed the great Irish music on 8 different stages.
I actually went into the "petting zoo" and touched animals. This is me holding a duck...the duck didn't want to smile for the camera I guess.
There were thousands of booths all over the festival with all sorts of things for sale. Most were traditional Irish and Scottish souvenirs, but this one tie-dyed booth caught my eye....
We stopped and watched a harp concert...they were playing the tune to "If you could hie to Kolob." It was beautiful.
Below are two videos we took of two bands we heard. The First is a band from Ireland called Beoga...they were amazing. This video doesn't do it justice. The second video is for my sister Marie. She needs to marry this kilt-wearing fiddler. Their band is called Needfire. Not too far away from Brushfire! :) This band was hilarious...combining rock n' roll with celtic music. Watch for the kilt-and-sunglass-wearing rocker on the right.
