Our first visitor!

Yeehaw! We gave my Dad a real Texas welcome when he came to visit this week. He had a work conference (he works for Express Personnel Services), and the conference was in a hotel near us! What are the odds? So he stayed with us and we loved having him here for a couple days!

Thursday night I got to go with him to his evening party. They fed us this buffet of amazing food...and then had a concert. LeAnn Rimes was going to perform, but got sick. So they brought in the one and only Jessica Simpson. Ha! So I watched Jessica Simpson in concert....with my Dad. I still think that is hilarious.

I don't think it was her best performance or her best audience she has ever had. It seemed like the wrong type of crowd to be watching Jessica Simpson. Ha...

We ended up leaving half-way through the show. The music she sang was all the same and she was kinda ditsy and weird. I think the highlight of the show was when she left the stage for a 5 minute break and let her band entertain us. They were amazing! We left when she came back.

We loved having my Dad here, and getting to show him around town when he was done with his meetings. Who's next??? Mom? Come on down to friendly Texas....we'll show you a good time!
