Fairy Tale camp - Day 3

JACK & THE BEANSTOCK

Ruby & Jane came early to set up our beanstock that we had designed a few weeks earlier when we were preparing for the camp.  This was Jane & Ruby's favorite part! 

When the kids came, they colored a Jack & giant picture! 

Then it was time to act out the story.  Watch out for the giant, Jack! 

We split the kids into 2 groups and led them through the story.  They were all Jack and got to climb up the beanstock.  We did the version where they had to find the golden egg and run away from the giant.  They loved this! 

Everyone got to find a golden egg and inside was a rolo....yum! We then hid the golden eggs around the yard and found them again. 

Then it was time to pull out the beans.  We put beans in a baggie with paper towels.  We will see if they will grow! (they did a week later!)

We played with the beans, sorting and then throwing some like Jack's angry mother!

- Snack break -

Then it was time for our craft.  We made Jack n the beanstock door hangers! They turned out so cute. 

We played games: Freeze tag with the giant - The Golden Goose could unfreeze them

Hide n seek - hide from the giant!

At the end we took pictures by the beanstock

We had so much fun doing Fairy Tale Camp!
