After the turkey...

We stayed with family the day after Thanksgiving and came back to our place on Saturday.  We packed in a lot of fun in those days together!

Marie brought a craft for us to do...I didn't get a picture of it! We made cute paper banners for the holidays.  So fun to do crafts with the girls!

That afternoon we went to a tree farm to pick out a Christmas tree for my parent's home.  It was a gorgeous lot with all sorts of variety of trees (who knew?) and it made me feel ready to celebrate Christmas! I was anxious to move on to Christmas this year.

Brielle fell asleep on the car ride to the tree farm. She was all tuckered out from playing so hard!

Rosalyn liked the Christmas decor...and the attention of being the only little one awake at the time.

As the only child at home, Claire was tasked with the final Christmas tree decision.  There were too many to chose from! We wandered around looking at so many perfect trees, trying to find the one that came with a glow and angels singing. ha.

Pretty soon, Brielle was awake and joining in on the tree-finding action.

We love it when Jeff and Marie are in town!!

At last, we found the perfect tree.  Nice and full, symmetrical, and the right height.

It was purchased and placed on top of my Mom's mini cooper...ha ha!! It was the only car between all of our cars that had a rack we could tie it to.  It was a great sight.

We enjoyed some hot chocolate together before heading back home to put the tree up!

Now all it needed was some decor! Bring on Christmas!

The next day, we watched the BYU football game together.  Gotta watch BYU football when it is on!

Like usual, I played "beauty shop" with the girls' hair while we watched the game. I love playing with Claire's hair and making up hair styles. I did all the girls' hair that day for fun.

Then we went to the church and set up the gym for an epic Family Nerf gun fight.
My parents got Nerf guns for everyone and we set up the tables in an obstacle course and cups to shoot.  We played a variance of Capture the Flag and had some great laughs!
We did some timed shooting sets and raced each other.
It was a fun, unique family experience.  My parents are so great at planning such fun activities for us to do together! This might be a Thanksgiving tradition each year....I know it will be when Mike returns home from his mission! So many of my memories of Mike involve being home and shot by a Nerf gun as he hid around the corner. ha ha.

We came home and played a rousing round of Bingo.  A Thanksgiving tradition for as long as I can remember.  I didn't get a picture of us actually playing...or any of the prizes but this one. ha! Rosalyn enjoyed this pig mask that I won....
It is now a staple in our dress-up box that the girls fight over. So funny!

Fun times had by all!
