A December to remember...

There's lots to enjoy during the Christmas season around here.  We made the most of it with two toddlers in tow!

We went to our stake Festival of Nativities. It was gorgeous, as always. We love it and try to go multiple times, although once was enough this year with these two girls running around!
Here we are sneaking a selfie between the trees.

The girls liked the children's room with lots of nativities they could play with.  Rosalyn was worn out by the end and enjoyed lounging in the bean bag chair.

She also liked instructing the kids on how to build the Lego nativity.

Right after Thanksgiving break, I set up our Christmas tree and surprised the girls the next morning.  We got a priceless reaction from them! Rosalyn went straight for the lights and chewed on them throughout the Christmas season.  Brielle was in delighted shock when she first saw the tree.  She loves the lights and makes sure they are always on when she's around.
Our tree got knocked down 6 times throughout the month by these two.  Completely on the ground. So it always looks a little haggard. :)

I cleared out the toy box to make room for Christmas toys.  The girls liked playing in it together.

I did some "yard work" on our balcony.  Brielle helped me pick up all the leaves. I love that this is the extent of our yard work for the past few years living in apartments.

Brielle was hyper all month long...

I went with some friends to see the Ensign Choir and Symphony at a beautiful hall in Seattle. It was a lovely night with beautiful Christmas music!

My sister Marie and her husband, Jeff came into town from CA. We went all together to Snowflake Lane right outside Jeff's office in Bellevue.  It was a super fun night!
Can you tell we're related??

Fun parade and performances in the street:

They do this every night in December. It "snows" at the end.  It was magical!

Brielle was a hoot, dancing in the street to the music the whole time.  She hears music, and she's gotta move! Here she is with another little girl she pulled out to dance. :)

Brielle got a lollipop from one of the characters.  She loved it...and so did Grandpa, who got it all over the top of his head. :)

We hosted a Primary Breakfast with Santa on a Saturday morning.  I helped organize it since I'm in the primary presidency.  It was really a cute morning.

I got my girls in their Santa pjs. Brielle had a blast.
She had fun being a big kid.
I was in charge of the craft table. The older kids made ornaments.
The younger kids made nativity sticker door hangers.

The primary president assigned me when I got there to help Santa..."because I knew you'd be dressed up!" she said.  Ha ha. It was so fun to be right next to Santa and hear what the kids told them they wanted for Christmas. There were a few that wanted laptops and Ipads, all the way down to a jump rope. Cute kids.

It was a December to remember!
