Father's Day Weekend

We had a fun Father's Day weekend with my whole family together one last time before Mike left for his mission.  Marie & Jeff drove up from California, and we all stayed at my parent's home for a few days and partied hard!

We tried to do lots of things Mike wanted to do...and things he wouldn't be able to do for 2 years! We played lots of video games, and lots of board games including Settlers of Cataan, Scotland Yard, Break The Safe, Apples to Apples, Reverse Charades, Headbandz, and more! We ate yummy food at an Irish pub, Went to see the movie "How to Train Your Dragon", Took family pictures, Watched Claire's dance recital, and had a wonderful Open House for Mike.  We celebrated Father's Day with fun gifts and games, thoughtful stories and wisdom.  It was a heavenly weekend - a treasured memory for us all!

One highlight was a family water gun fight in the back yard.  It was hilarious and very wet! I had fun using my camera to document the action!

Here's the dry before:

The three Jeffs....this was very confusing all weekend.

I love this camera.  You can capture great moments like the one below - you can see the water from the pail in a straight line hitting my Dad! Jeff Chapman had no mercy for his new Father-In-Law!

Here's the wet after:

The next day we took some family pictures. I'm going to not spoil the nice one by putting it on the blog in case my parents use it for the Christmas card this year. :) So here's the silly ones. We decided we would try jumping and running with the "sport" setting on the camera catching move by move. It made for some fun pictures!

And here's our little family picture:
