February

I can't believe February is over. I feel jipped! I had all these great plans for my birthday and Valentine's Day...turns out I was sick with a cold on my birthday, and Jeff was sick on Valentine's Day! So, can I get a re-do on this month?? I didn't get my spoiling! ha ha.

We didn't do much this month.  It's cold outside, and between sicknesses, we just laid low.  Luckily, Brielle never got sick! So I'm counting my blessings... :) Here's a few pictures to document our February happenings:

Jeff was the MC for our ward party.  They've discovered his talent! He was so good at it.
It was a Valentine's party, and we had a great time.

Here's Phase 1 of my birthday plans. I had a "last night in my 20's!" party with some girlfriends. Here I am so young and spry the night before I turned 3-0 and old!
Phase 2 of my birthday celebration we planned to go to Leavenworth, WA (a cute German town in the mountains) and stay there for a few days.  Jeff took off work, and we were so excited! I woke up that morning with a cold! Bad luck.  So the trip has been postponed for a future celebration.

Phase 3 of my birthday celebration was a family party at my parent's home. We celebrated in style, and of course ate tortellini and cheesecake...my usual birthday meal!

Valentine's Day was a bust. Jeff was sick in bed, so I took care of Brielle and kept her in the other room all day.  It's tough being sick in a one-bedroom apartment! He was sick for almost a week, so we were going stir crazy by the end of it. :) Luckily he's all better and we are a happy, healthy family.

Brielle's a rollin'! She doesn't like it much yet. It still surprises her when she does it. It's fun to see her body and strength develop.

This is what we do all day. Hang out in our sunglasses waiting for summer.

Grandma came down for a visit.  Brielle loves visitors.

My parents flew to Salt Lake City for a conference for Express. Here they are all fancy-schmancy!
I stayed with Mike & Claire while they were gone. We had fun together and I played "mom" by driving Claire to her dentist appointment, piano lessons, dance practice, etc. I helped Mike remember to do his homework and pack for an overnight campout. Of course we celebrated Justin Bieber's birthday with pink & purple cupcakes and watched Harry Potter. I also decided that I will never be a pet-owner. They are a lot of work! We were all happy to have Mom & Pop back.

The winter so far has been beautiful. No snow, just cold. I think we've had lots of sunny days though, and I won't complain! I like getting out and taking Brielle on walks. She likes them too.

That's all folks. Now what will the month of March bring?
