Whew. Life is busy over here. Does it ever slow down??? I don't think so! Even when I wasn't working last month it was just crazy. But I guess everything keeps us entertained and active with lots of fun things going on. So take a deep breath and read on about what's been going on! (ok, I'll just take a deep breath....)
My latest endeavor was working with the Tongan youth in our stake to perform a 12-minute play at the stake roadshow. They ended up doing a great job...performing for 2 nights along with all of the other shows. They won "Best Choreography" for their fantastic Tahitian dancing and hula. Here they are....don't you love my incredible painted backdrop??? My neighbors were wondering what was going on when they would see us painting late at night in my garage....
It was fun, but I'm glad it is over. :)

Jeff got a free ticket to the BYU game by this nice man we sat next to at the BYU football fireside the night before. How nice some people are! Jeff was so excited to go...it is always an incredible experience to support BYU playing, and on top of that...to see them play in the Cowboys stadium! Fun fun.

Here I am in their church....it was breathtaking.
We had to try their food...this is what we got in our meal:
Cabbage Rolls
Romanian Skinless Sausages
Lamb Pastrami
Polenta with Feta Cheese and Sour Cream
Coleslaw
It was delicious! We are still not sure what polenta is exactly. Still need to google that...if I dare!
For anyone who cares, my new job is going well. I think it is quite hilarious that I'm working in an accounting firm. But I am really liking it so far. It is so clean, organized and well-managed. I thought my job would be more receptionist duties...but it turns out I am assisting the accountants with their work. Today I was coding checks and doing billing, invoicing and all sorts of things on their accounting software. I don't know what I'm doing...but I'm learning quick! I would never have thought I'd be doing all this stuff! What a brain switch to go from working at a theater to working for accountants. :)
Our biggest news at the moment is the selling of our beloved jeep:
And buying our new BMW! Ok, it is totally not NEW, but it's new to us! It is actually much older than anyone would guess.....but it was kept well and still drives great! We sold our Jeep on Craigslist, and we were both sad to see it go. We had a lot of memories from that jeep and it was sure fun. But it helps when you can get another fun car!
They man that sold us the car told us: "back in the day if you bought this car....you knew you had arrived. This was THE car to have." Well, it suits us just fine for our needs now!
I asked him what he likes about the car best:
"I like the way it looks.....and I like the way it drives."
Great! What else do you need in a car?
What do I like about it best?
I like the way Jeff's eyes light up when he drives it. :)
Anyone need a laugh? I stumbled upon this website the other day, and it made me laugh. Especially this post. It is a website about people making crafts that don't turn out as they hoped they would. I heard that these melted crayon designs are all the rage at the moment for teachers, and I had a good chuckle reading about this lady's mess-up. This is totally something that would happen to me.
