Male model birthday boy Jeff

This weekend we celebrated Jeff's 31st birthday! Whoohooo! I took as many pictures of him as I could to document his birthday...he is now qualified to be a male model.
Who doesn't like having to pose for a picture in public places while I sing Happy Birthday over and over again??

Isn't he a cute 31 year old?

Saturday I planned a whole day excursion as a surprise...we went to the "Fort Worth Day in the District!" Once a year, the museums and art galleries are free all day, and so is the downtown bus service to get to each one!

We went to the Fort Worth Museum of Science & History which was fascinating. Here's Jeff posing while I sing obnoxiously:

We spent most of the time in the exhibit about natural gas wells and drilling. Yes, we are nerds and found it quite interesting! I love learning about something I never knew existed...like huge vibrating trucks that send sound vibrations miles down into the earth that are then transformed into maps for geologists to look at. Wild! Jeff was interested because of the stock market and his picks having to do with oil & natural gas pipelines. :)

We then took a bus outside of the culture district and went to the Log cabin village. This reminded me of Nauvoo...although not as cool. :) But it was still interesting and always makes you appreciate modern conveniences!

Here's Jeff again...with a grist mill:

We listened to the Buttermilk Junction band play at the old schoolhouse. I wished it was Brushfire playing!

Here's Jeff below playing the guitar, 30 years from now:
Through a series of unfortunate bus timings....we ended up waiting at the bus station to go back to town for over an hour. We passed the time watching the cars go by and dreaming of what car we'll buy someday. When we finally made it back to town we went to the Kimball Art Museum. I don't want to sound like a snob, but after seeing the Louvre, I don't think you can ever fully appreciate an art museum ever again. :)
By then we were hungry and pooped! We got some Mexican food (Jeff's taste-buds are part Mexican/part Italian) and headed home. Jeff promptly fell asleep on the couch and was out most of the rest of the night. Ah...I tuckered my little birthday boy out! :)

Here's Jeff on his actual birthday....monday:

After work we went to dinner at Macaroni Grill which was yummy as always. I colored all over the table (you do that there!) so no one forgot I was sitting with the birthday boy! Here he is excited to eat his Italian food. (I just realized this is a poor picture on my part...that is not a party hat he is wearing on his head, but the lamp behind us!)

Are you done taking pictures of me yet??

Ok, now I'm done. Happy Birthday to the man I love! What a great guy Jeff is and I am so happy he was born! :) I just love celebrating birthdays!
