Texas snowstorm?!?

Introducing Frosty The Cowboy Snowman!

We had record-breaking snow fall this week....the whole area was in a panic. :) I even got to leave work! The news said Dallas had 12.5 inches of snow...that is a TON considering it rarely if ever snows.
And I ask myself...what's with all this talk about global warming??? :)
It was perfect snow....easy to make snowballs and snowmen. It felt like Utah snow! There were snowmen everywhere you looked...pretty cute.
Here's Jeff leaving for work the day after it snowed. That's my car on the left all buried. This is the front view out of our apartment and it shows you just how much snow we got!

Can you see how thick the snow is on the trees? The trees here aren't used to the weight so there are broken limbs all over the place. Jeff and I have been amazed driving around at how much damage the snow caused to the trees here. There were also major power-outages because of limbs falling on power lines.

This is our back view to the apartment swimming pool.
Tons of snow! It was fun....it is slowly melting but it has been fun to look at. I never thought we would experience this much snow here! It felt like Provo. :)
