Welcome to Texas.
Most every night we are greeted by lizards at our door when we come home. This is just a recent occurrence, they seem to have come with the heat. They scurry around on the walls and on the ground when we approach. Jeff and I have our entrance to apartment all planned now....I squeal while jeff gets his keys to unlock the door.....he stands out of the way....I bolt inside and he follows.... quickly slamming the door to make sure they don't come inside.
We have only had 2 intruders so far. Once when Jeff opened the door in the morning to go to work...(don't worry, I was yelling at him to come back from the car and get it out of our apartment!) and the other time was this afternoon. We were sitting on the couch, and I saw something run across the floor.....it was this baby lizard! Jeff caught it and I took this picture of it before he took it outside. Eeeew...I guess I would rather have lizards than spiders. But they are just so fast, they make me jump and yell. I am grateful for my manly husband who takes care of them. I don't know what I would do without him. :)
